Excellent exercise to make you question what is normal and try to rewire how we approach everyday situations
Food for thought - some biases seem to me to be useful, but apparently not, while others seem blindingly obviously detrimental. But if you can rationalise them then they aren't irrational! Still, I suppose I don't have to agree with everything as we need to encourage diversity.
I do think that the "gender bias" bits should be updated as I don't think it's very inclusive to talk about two genders as people who identify as non-binary might find this upsetting and also uses stereotypes in the depiction of the "woman" with a skirt.
Encourages self-awareness and questioning, which are positive; later on, when it comes to recruitment best-practice, I fear this training may encourage decisions which cement rather than work to eradicate institutional bias and conformity - particularly where it refers to not considering background. Candidate X may have a better degree and more impressive experience than candidate Y, but the training implies it would not be legitimate to consider other factors such as whether Y was a care leaver, or X was privately educated, for example.

I found the balance of video and questions engaging. A little confused by some of the test questions - eg around negative bias, as something outside your norm could both strengthen or weaken negative bias - if you are open to the experience. So a little frustrated to have to go all the way back to the beginning to complete the test - although happy for the opportunity to refresh!
The course was basic, in that you would expect all managers in my line of work to know this material. However, it was very clearly presented and would help people to acknowledge and address bias in themselves without feelings of guilt.
The presentation was engaging and well delivered but some of the detail was less convincing, such as the voices we were supposed to be making assumptions about.
An excellent topic.
A short online course that aims to identify unconscious bias, both positive and negative, and highlight how these can be limiting in a work environment. It points out the problems this can cause and also benefits of changing one's mindset and the fundamental need to continue to challenge ourselves in the way we think. Some of the examples were clunky though.
