The aim of the course was well meaning

unconscious bias opened my thinking to this area of through however I think that some of the subjects that were taken as unconscious are our conscious thoughts that we are comfortable with even if their is a bias in them. The heart of the matter at the end is that we can work within a team and encourage others putting aside the bias for the benefit of all.

I found the approach rather patronising!

Some of the statements made I found questionable, and would have liked to have been given more evidence for their validity. That's probably the physical scientist in me - I need to be convinced by the evidence for the statements made and this could not be given in this sort of course. Perhaps this is unconscious bias in relation to a soft science such as psychology? - or perhaps it IS based on evidence...

OK to complete but 1 dimensional.

The whole course was based on watching and listening to video. They were clear but dry. I would retain information better if it had used more examples and interactive exercises to engage me in the content.

Its a good starting point.

I think the course is a good introduction for all staff.

Claim needs evidence.

The claim that diversity of personnel produces better outcomes is presented without evidence.
