Emergency First Aid at Work Training - Refresher Reviews

I'm astounded that there wasn't a section on fractures, strains, sprains and dislocations!!!

Covered most of the common first aid situations and it was well structured and easy to understand

Good course/presentation. As ex First Aid Instructor I think the questions at the end were poor. Should have focused on important things like knowledge of DRABC / CPR etc.

Expending a lot of time with videos

I think the Defibrillator section should be shown as a separate section as it seems a long video watch to take in all the information and by the time you get to the end of all the video shots and to include the general First Aid it is quite a lot of information to remember and process before answering the questions which relate to general First Aid only.

Just have an query, about one specific question in the 20 question test always taught to put on another dressing for a bleed according to the correct answer is take all the dressings off and start again

Very worthwhile, covered what I learned with St John's Ambulance over a number of sessions so a bit much to take in all in one visit. I would suggest that after completion of the course a summary could be provided as a aide memoire.

A helpful refresher to remind you of what you learnt previously in your EFAW if you've done it.
