a glaring omission: racism

Everyday racism, institutional racism, peer-to-peer racism, classroom racism may have huge and lasting impact on children's mental health, wellbeing and safety. Yet racism is overlooked in this course and in the list of potential new titles. Nor do racist language, racist abuse or racist violence feature as warning flags in iHASCO Prevent training. Surely, being alert to racism, and learning strategies for preventing, addressing and combating racist behaviour is essential to any "safeguarding children" skills set?

Takes to long to load

Takes to long to move on each part of course. Very slow loading

2/5
Pitched at the wrong level

The course is not suited well towards more highly qualified professionals. It could be more tailored to individual training needs, and more appropriately delivered.

2/5
not very easy to follow

I didn't receive a certificate, which is unfair if you think we have to be tested. Also because I did one question wrong by accident it is not allowing me to complete the course. I went back to watch the videos again in order to access the test but still haven't managed to complete. I am still in trying to get to the end.

Not engaging

Video only training to watch is not engaging. A mix of video and just reading would allow this to be processed better.

Sound and Video Issues

Despite excellent internet connection, the video kept stalling and the sound on every clip cut out after a few seconds. I had to complete the course using the transcript and the subtitles which was extreme frustrating. Other than that I liked the format, layout , and how it was concise and to the point because it was simple to navigate and easy to follow.

the 60 minutes estimate is incorrect

The estimated time to complete the course is set to 60 minutes but it is twice as long as that

Content was useful, if videos worked

The content was very relevent and would be useful for all members of staff, however a lot of the videos stopped short or corrupted before the questions were asked and therefore it became difficult to navigate the questions

Very basic

A very basic course and a little worrying that people need training on this as majority of information and questions should be common knowledge. I also can't edit the name on the course as my whole name is on there and I don't use my whole name on a daily basis. This puts me off using the certificate at all.
