is this course relevant to me?

I actually question whether I should have done this course. I found some of the content and pictures disturbing and with my role, feel a level 1 course may have been sufficient. Signs to look for and a way of reporting. I have worked here for 5 years and never encountered a child.

If I could rate it lower I would.

Your training is discriminatory. You can’t train a new generation in outdated discriminatory ableist info. What you say about deaf, blind and people who have disabilities is disgusting. am shocked to see you also offer equality training. When did you last review what you are training people in?

I am surprised there is no certificate

ALWAYS GIVE PARTICIPANTS A CHANCE TO PRINT THEIR OWN CERTIFICATES! I spend TWO hours on a course and at the end I have nothing to show or file? You refer me to my employer? Really?

tedious

It would be far better, as a refresher course, to do the quiz first and then check the bits that you get wrong because it is much too time consuming. Otherwise allow to skip through to avoid zoning out through boredom.

Very didactic, poor learning outcomes

I would be disappointed if my organisation produced something of this quality in terms of current thinking in terms of online delivery. It assumes a particular style of learning which at this level is not appropriate for the continuum of learning abilities of all the people that will access it. I purposely got a couple of answers wrong to see how the program responded and was disappoint that it just directed me back to the original content with me as a user being able to explore and question what was deemed the right response.

Test timed out in two minutes

This Course was a nightmare and everyone agrees they lost the will to live whilst doing it. The test times out after 2 minutes and not 5 and not all questions were covered. Also one section couldn't be accessed since it asked if you were sure you wanted to leave and you could only hit yes to move on

too long,

No summary provided

Too much ambiguous info

The course was too long and provided much repetition and ambiguity. Would have been better to summarise the most important facts and provide feedback in the test to resolve incorrect answers. People taking this course start to lose the will after so much repetition for too long

not applicable to invigilators.

There are about 40% of the questions that an invigilator could never know as the questions were to members of staff at school. How would the invigilator know......easy ask a a member of staff. Not a true test on the subject but I guess someone has ticked a box and received some financial reward. You should concentrate on encouraging people to take on what has become a very difficult job as against putting hurdles that many would be put off by.

Comprehensive but no certificate!

The course is comprehensive, but perhaps a bit long-it certainly took longer than the 58 minutes predicted. It is easy to use and the summary pages at the end of sections are especially useful. My main complaint, and the reason for the low star rating is that the system would not generate a certificate at the end of the test. This is an important issue since we need some sort of record of completion and evidence of having undertaken both course and test for the our records.
