Not relevant to anyone working at Medichecks as we don't work with children.

Not appropriate for role - This training was specifically for those working with children in a classroom or center environment. Safeguarding Adult & Children would have been far more appropriate for the role I do.
This training course was torture. Short, monotonous monologues that could have been read independently from the transcripts and absorbed in a fraction of the time.
The content of the course is not at all relevant to our position! IF somebody worked ‘with’ children I could see the reasoning behind the course being mandatory but this content is in no way relevant to our position as customer host. Would like to see training which is specific to our job purpose such as consumer code.

As we do not have anything to do with children I feel this course is not only awful in it's content but also unnecessary. I work in a residential home. I know it all happens and it is very bad but would rather not watch it.
The course refers to "disclosures" (which should be termed 'allegations') and encourages that children should be encouraged to talk freely and for as long as they wish about allegations to untrained people. It encourages untrained people to ask questions of children making allegations, which undermines any subsequent ABE interview (Achieving Best Evidence) that may be conducted by either police or social workers. And that undermines any potential future safeguarding action in relation to the child, or prosecution of any alleged perpetrator.
This course is completely irrelevant to my job as my job does not involve children
