Bit patronising

I found the delivery patronising and the suggestions all a bit obvious.

Would be ideal for a junior school.

I completed the course whilst wearing earphones in a noisy office environment. Occasionally I would need to backwards skip the video when I had missed something. The video allows you to rewind, but not skip forwards, even if you only wish to skip forward to a point you've already watched. Its frustrating, annoying, and a waste of electricity.

Well intentioned, but not great.

The course is well intentioned, and the information about how all our actions affect ultimately everyone is welcome. For me however it is far too timid, giving suggestions that have been made for years, and in many cases will not solve problems at anything like the rate needed for climate solutions or carbon neutrality. A good example is the repeated urging to unplug phone chargers when not in use - but modern chargers, which most people have because of their addiction to new phones, actually use virtually zero energy when the phone is not plugged in. This is essentially a climate myth - and leading people to think they are doing their bit by unplugging phone chargers - or re-using plastic bags - essentially misinforms them. Much more will need to be done.

this is the same stuff ive been hearing and doing since 1990's nothing new

Individuals are not the cause

I found this training left out the biggest causes of environmental decline; which were and still is, governments and corporations. Governments allows corporations to essentially use all natural resources, and create pollution as a by product. By making me, the individual feel like us, as a race have contributed to the planets downfall, is bad marketing at the very least. Yes, we can all help, but if governments and large corporations were held more accountable and took more care for the planet, we wouldn't be in this mess in the first place. Rant over.

text ok-some of the video inappropriate

Text ok, but compulsory use of video inappropriate especially in relation to showing animals in distress - you may think this is a good thing to show, but, for many it can be very disturbing and upsetting and cause unnecessary stress

Lots of useful information

Felt that within some of the sections the information was repeated making the course slightly longer that was needed.

 a

A quick Google search gives answers which disagree with certain statistics in the training.

relevant and easy to understand info

I did not like how many questions there were based on statistics given during the training. so many statistics were given over the course of the training which makes it difficult to remember them all and even though they are probably accurate statistics, remembering numbers given to you 5 minutes does not necessarily show understanding environmental awareness. I would have preferred more questions related to the actual policies, effects and impacts of environmental awareness and not so many on remembering numbers.
