I think it would be ideal to be able to retake the test again (with different questions) without having to redo the whole course within a few days, or hours so we can review weaker areas after the test is complete without sitting through everything or rechecking mid-test. Additionally, this would allow test takers to gain a certificate that states 100%. Even though 80% is a pass it feels demoralizing to have it displayed so large on the certificate.

This will definitely help with trips.
I have done this several times and each time I lose the will to live part way through. Why not (a) only require it to be done say every three years; and (b) offer a proper pre-learning test which if passed means you don’t have to sit through it. I assume that the objective is to ensure that trip leaders are competent … I’m not convinced this course is fit for purpose.
