Informative, but felt a little long winded for relatively basic information

It reminds us what we should all know.

The most usefull part is reminding one that MANUAL HANDLING is not confined to the work place. Also that trying to avoid lifting is always the best plan. Disapointingly, there was only one section upon the safe lifting limits (or weights beyong which your brevardo should be proscribed) and no clear reference that should repeated lifting be required (from one's job) that's probably inappropriate unelss the loads are much lighter. Finally, if the score on the test relates to knowing what to do to prevet damage to oneself, then why does the test require knoweldge of what you define to be STRAIN, an engineering term which has a pricise and different meaning, when all that is required is that what ever you call it, it should be avoided as it really means POTENTIAL DAMAGE.

useful training

i find this training very useful. i learned some things out of it

Quite repetitive

To be honest, I found the training a little tedious as it was so repetitive and a lot of the things taught were quite obvious. I did learn a few bits and pieces that I didn't know before, though and it consoilidated some of the things I already know. I think it could have been a little bit shorter and still as effective.

Good quality gfx & ptc's were good general production quality was v good. Only issue for me was that you could skip each section and go straight to the question at the end. This may happen if you had to repeat this process each year. Maybe if you made it funny and shorter... i think short is better people are now used to youtube clips etc... bit size clips maybe cheers David C.

It was quite a long winded training programme, for something that was not entirely relevant to me (kitchen asistant). Also, I felt that the question about the angle of the ladder was not fair, as in the training part of the video it spoke of the angle in one way, and in the test question it had converted that information to a percentage - this would penalise you if your maths was bad.

Started badly when you defined a load as

Started badly when you defined a load as a pressure. I was minded to stop then as if you can't get the basics right why should I believe the rest?Therefafter better but felt some of the ratios were presented in too definitive a way. Also issues about awkward objects (for whatever reason)could have more emphasis.

PROGRAM CONTENTS INFORMATIVE

THE REASON I GAVE A 3 IS THAT THE PROGRAM FROZE TWICE MEANING I HAD TO SHUT THE COMPUTER DOWN AND START ALL OVER AGAIN THUS TAKING NEARLY 2 HOURS. OVERALL THE PROGRAMME WAS INFORMATIVE AND THOUGHT PROVOKING MAKING YOU REASSESS YOUR WORKING ENVIROMENT.

3/5
Too long

The content of the programme is good, but could easily have been summarised in a 2 page pamphlet (with pictures). Would provide a good basis for the initial manual handling training but is a bit excessive for refresher training!
