3/5
It is adequate

It is a simplistic overview - with a feel of a non-manufacturing focus. The over-playing of the benefits of on-line training within an on-line training course smacks of self advertisement rather than rational discussion on the pros and cons of training methods. Face to face training with a good instructor will always allow for better understanding of how well training has landed.

3/5
Informative, but lacked specifics

Gave a lot of information on the responsibilities for H&S managers but I would have liked to see more detail on the tasks required as part of the role. What checks need to be carried out, how often etc

3/5
Too long

Just way too long to complete. The format is stop /start which makes it hard to follow and having done other courses at the same time a lot of the stuff has been repeated. I realise we need to know this stuff but this has taken a long time to complete

3/5
Very dry delivery, hard to remember

Although clear, the delivery of information was very dry without much difference in pace and modulation which made it very difficult to concentrate and absorb the information. My least favourite course.

3/5
too many facts and figures

While the content is factually comprehensive the course test relies heavily on remembering injury or illness figures for lots of workplace illness from respitatory, musculoskelatal, days lost, cancers which unless you write down every figure while doing the module its hard to remember as there are so many. Testing knowledge on regulations, risk and risk assessment, powers and enforcment is waht a manager needs to know e.g. to enact H&S at work. First attempt was at end of busy day - not a good idea given time to do.

3/5
Needs More Practical Questions

The course is great as everyone should know about health and safety and what their responsibilities are. However there should be more of a focus on hazards and the different forms these take, whether they are slip trip and fall or incorrect use of equipment. Health and Safety is really common sense but this is the one thing you can not teach so staff need to be shown what possible bad practice is so they learn and pass this onto others.

3/5
Too much focus on legislation

I really liked the first part of the course but I would have loved to see some more insights and examples of creating the risk assessments. I thought it was a bit too heavily focused on legislation and numbers with the various type of accidents. This was also showed in the questions which I thought were to focused on small details.

3/5
Too much detail in a short course

this module could do with splitting out. it feels rushed and there is a lot of information to take in in such a short course. i think you should consider removing the risk assesment element and have this as a seperate more specific session. there's just too much information to take in as it stands.

3/5
good basic course , CLEAR AND HELPFUL

This course was very informative and gave an excellent overview of H&S. I found some of the questions in the test slightly confusing! Nonethe less I cannot criticise the course.
