Feels like this training would be a lot more efficient (and could avoid unnecessary detail) if it was more personalised. For example, would be very useful to know where the fire meeting points are at Corpus and which fire extinguishers we have in place. Also, would be useful to have a fire evacuation practice every couple of months, rather than just testing the fire alarm sound system once a week during office hours. Going forward, could the fire alarm tests take place outside regular working hours?
Having completed similar course multiple times, there was very little new learning for me. The course was slow it said it would take 30 minutes but took much longer. Would be better to have a fire in construction course rather than generic fire safety
The course took far longer than the 30 minutes we had been told it would. Also, it didn't allow those of us who have completed fire marshall training to skip through bits we already were more than aware about.
As with most Ihasco training modules; the videos are dull, monotone and far too long... this causes zero impact and means they are entirely forgettable and a chore..,thus we should question the point of them.
Same course for several years now. Over-emphasis on different types of fire extinguishers and their usage compared to more general emergency procedures, which will be applicable to more people. Would also be good if could only recieve information about extinguishers in use at a given organisation, and if demonstrations used actual extinguishers used on real fires, rather than computer generated graphics.
I feel this is very basic and the test can be accessed prior to the course being completed. Five questions does not give staff the level of knowledge we require.
Instead of having 40 short clips, you could cut them down to 10 minute clips.
I have done this course many time before. I did it while reading something else. Why can't there be a series of questions at the start to assess whether I NEED to do the course - and only take me to the course if I fall below the pass mark?
This course is easy to use and has relevant information, however it is not very easy to remember the information as it is put across in a formal way with no visual reminders or catchphrases for the different fire categories. Needs to be made more fun and have more visuals when explaining the ABCD and F types of fire.
