This Equality & diversity training clearly discriminates against people who don't have a good knowledge of English grammar. They would have had to watch it, instead of clicking straight through to the end and guessing the answers correctly like we did. If you are familiar with the meaning of the words direct, indirect, associative and perceptive, then you will pass.
The training focuses on legal definitions rather than what is wrong with treating people badly because of certain characteristics. I do not think it will change peoples behaviour, it will just let them know the name of their behaviour, for example 'indirect discrimination'. It would be more valuable to have real examples from work places and enable participants to discuss what treatment would be appropriate.
Easy and understandable visual and written information with excellent video presentation.
The course was very informative but I was slightly offended to find the term 'homosexual' used on a number of occasions. Most gay people do not like to be referred to as homosexual as the term was originally used to refer to an abnormality in sexual orientation. Gay is a much better, less offensive term to use.
Found it too long and struggled to concentrate on this
i learnt more from a demonstration video than watching just an audio one ? as my concentration levels by just listening to someone talk was alot less than seeing the same material covered by visual demonstrations maybe just a personal observation but i believe i can learn the same as anyone else just for me visual aids 100% better?
It's highly recommended
A good programme, but the sound is lower than your other programmes!
I found this module too much to take in and understand in one module felt too much had been packed into it, to many videos to look at and therefore felt quite confused at the end of it and when doing the test , felt it over loaded me.
Being able to return to complete the session in sections was an advantage
