The course was very good. information shared was clear to understand as it explained the difference paths Mental Health Acts 1983 and Mental Capacity Acts 2005 covers. It also provide family members and individuals guidance on their rights if family members were been placed in nursing homes or been cared for at home. It can sometimes be hard to get that sort of information when you require it.
I found I had to make notes as there is a lot of information to take on board....and I found a couple of the multiple choice questions confusing with double negative wording....late in the evening that was quite difficult!
This training wasn't really relevant to my setting, and therefore a bit of a waste of time. The content is interesting and well presented, but only alludes to the practice for our setting (residential school). It also went into far too much detail around the logistics that most staff don't need to know the ins and out of, it feels as though you need to differentiate child and adult services and support staff and managers/therapy teams... just a thought. It also does not mention the changes towards Liberty Protection Safeguards.
very informative and clearly presented
