As a retired and highly experienced police detective specialising in sexual offences and family protection, I was sceptical at first - especially given the shambolic manner in which this employer recently dealt with a complaint of SH. The course, however, was very good, I thought, exactly what all staff in this organisation require, to begin to get an understanding of the real and modern world. Hopefully they will also sign up to Equality and Diversity training!!
Good to have this training, for us to be aware.
Comes from a good angle of wanting to protect the employee, encourages reasonable responses to behaviour, very comprehensive, takes the matter seriously
This Sexual Harassment Awareness Training is important for everyone to be knowledgeable about their rights.
This is very useful and informative!
It's good that there are example scenarios

I found the course to be very useful with a lot of information and was very to understand
The training and set up was very good and clear. I was surprised at the absence of male to male and female to female in the situations segment. There was only passing reference to male to male harassment and the only example of that is where they had previously been in a relationship which subsequently didn't work out - there was also no animation for this one. I appreciate that in such a short session it is difficult to include all specific examples but for some, it may be very necessary to set out all situations somewhere otherwise it may not be perceived as harassment. At the moment there is also a lot of discussion around the definitions of sex and gender and I found it interesting that the training said gender is one of the 9 protected characteristics in the Equality Act.
I found this course to be extremely helpful and reassuring - the latter because I have been in situations in the past where I felt uncomfortable/humiliated when someone has said or done something I deemed to be inappropriate and I was made to feel like a killjoy when I voiced disapproval. Now I know that I have a right to "feel my own feelings" and am allowed to say when I'm uncomfortable. Thank you for this training course.
