This was a very well designed and user friendly course. There was a variety of resources used to teach and assess the learner which stimulated interest and was conducive to learning. I particularly liked the resource of being able to resume activity on the module at any stage. Very handy if you have competing work tasks. By the end of the session i had a full understanding of what is manual handling and why it is important my employer facilitates relevant training. I learned about the lifting principles of L.I.T.E to help to safely assess any lifting activity whether at work or elsewhere. I also learned to make sure i was lifting correctly and what action to take if i deem a task unsafe to move. The test at the end of the session enables you to provide evidence learning has taken place. You are able to print a certificate which demonstrates you have a full understanding of moving and handling safety.
This course what short and to the point, giving all the necessary information for me to ensure my safety at work.
