I signed up to this course as it was titled Mental Health in Education but don't feel that it was relevant to this at all and should more aptly be titled 'Mental Health Education' as it was teaching how to look after my own mental health and signs to look out for.
I appreciate the course in teaching those who may be unfamiliar with mental health what it entails and some basic methods of support. However, I don't think it really got to the depth of what the course aimed which was de-stigmatising the issue and practical methods of well-being we could implement in the work place. I went on a recent course for managing distressed students which offered some great ideas to implement such as the stress bucket and the river bank analogy. That programme not only educated people in what mental health was, how to engage with those who may have conditions but practical approaches too and I feel that was sorely lacking in this training.
Some presentations are too long.

The information contained was delivered in a way that all could understand. However I found the animation and cartoon like animations off putting.
I think more of the breathing exercises and more strategies would be helpful.
