would not feel confident issuing first aid on the back of this course, although i have done the practical test numerous times.
It's the same video every year. Don't feel like I actually learn anything from the videos. The topics are delivered in such a way it loses my attention. Found it easier to fast forward videos until the test became availble and then take the test whilst using the first aid training book recieved during prctical training as a reference guide for questions I was not completely sure on.
I prefer the practical courses provided by St. John's Ambulance which are 'hands on' with professionals. There should be questions after each section, not questions at the end of watching 80 minutes of video.
Information on putting another bandage over a bandage that has bled through and how to treat a chest injury are not current.
I have completed many first aid courses in my life and even been an appointed person at one point but this is the dryest course i have ever done even on Ihasco your other coourses were quite good.
Only taken basic first aid before so for those of us that are basic this is too in depth and IMO could be dangerous if basic first aiders try and take too much responsibility. Also the course seemed to assume that you will always have gloves, etc on your person where if something happens in the street that may not be the case.
