It was an informative course, with detailed information regarding the signs of substance misuse. It also described the effect of drugs and alcohol on body/mund. On a negative note it was balanced too much towards the employer rather than how to help the person suffering. Where was the information regarding helping/support
Overall , not much that a normal person wouldn’t know anyway
A good overview in terms of the topic, however I feel it could have had a bit more depth to it. Supporting someone with an addiction requires more information than was given here. However, as a starting framework, this course does a good job in defining problem areas. Would recommend as an introduction to the topic.
Large focus on alcohol, emphasis on increasing your own knowledge on drugs through the additional resources.
It was a detailed reminder of the hazards and how it can affect an employee, their colleagues and the business, as well as sign to look out for to protect colleagues. Was non-specific to our industry and to our company policy.
Quite comprehensive and up to date, but no discussion with a live and expert lecturer; a “tick-box” exercise
