It OK for what you need

I believe on line course are not as good as group courses with an instructor

Fine I guess, but too slow.

The first time I watched through these my feeling is that, while a bit twee, they were well produced and in some cases quite interesting. Being forced to watch through them a second time, I found myself very bored going over old material. It would be good to be able to speed up the video/speech, and/or pause the video, read through the transcript in about a third of the time, then answer the (generally pretty easy) questions. Unable to do this, I found my mind wandering to other tasks. Fortunately we had a quiet night shift - for a company with no specific quiet periods I reckon the sluggish pace of the videos would amount to a large amount of wasted employee time, with resultant costs. The quizzes are mainly common sense (although to be fair so are the regs) so its difficult to tell whether scoring high reflects actual learning of the material or not.

Very informative but lacked relevance.

A very informative and interesting lesson, but honestly lacked relevance in the day to day running of the store. Something to note for the future, for sure.

3/5
Accessible but generalised

Covers the basics and is useful as a first introduction but makes generalised statements of what to do and not do (e.g. do not transfer liquids into another container) that are not appropriate or possible in certain professions (e.g. laboratory work). Course indicates training is required to mop up a spillage, but not the level of training, or whether formal or informal. Does not give specifics on carrying out COSHH Risk Assessments - who undertakes the assessment, where to find a template form, what is the bare minimum information required for one, how long and where they need to be kept. This information is available elsewhere, but for a person already undertaking COSHH risk assessments and working with hazardous chemicals daily this training does not add very much.

poor sense of humour

there is a poster displaying an helmet banana with a bubble saying wear PPE and It s all about protection... funny... at the pub between friends

3/5
very long winded

just found it long winded to watch all videos but better knowledge is given from flick

3/5
Needs sample questions during the course

Needs mini test questions throughout the course to keep you engaged and help the information stay in. Not just 20 questions at the end.

3/5
Predictable

As per coshh course really I hit a button on test wrongly But again the test should be there to check learning and understanding the test doesn’t. I could set better tests for you

3/5
A bit heavy-going

This one was quite detailed, but full of useful information. I did have to re-read several passages before the information sunk in, but I got there eventually !

3/5
Good course

Good brief overview of COSSH but a more site specific course with regards to the substances being used regularly may be of more help
