the course never changes as the material of the course is the same in a different format
Whilst the background and consequences of exposure to asbestos were well explained, there was insufficient detail on recognition. Whilst general shots of lagging and asbestos tiles were shown, there could have been more detailed graphic images of what the different types of asbestos actually look like much closer up than shown in the videos
These on line courses are fine as refreshers for someone that has done 20-25 asbestos courses over the years but for someone starting out or as a youngster coming into the trade it does not go deep enough and the right learning environment cannot be set. In a class of 12 pupils the learning is more intense and is taken on board by the student more so than sitting Infront of a screen. I do understand the cost and convenience of this on line course but feel that it does not get over the absolute importance of knowing fully about asbestos and what it can do to you and others.
I did hit 1 wrong button so would have scored higher the test questions are predictable and I probably would have got similar score without viewing whole course. The one I got wrong didn’t really check learning. Should be a few more specific test questions relating to more detailed areas of seminar
Great would like to be able to review answers I pressed the wrong answer on two questions

A good introduction, but very basic, even for an "Awareness" course
Someone needs to go through the property I work in.
I thought that too much time was spent on the lung disease aspect and terminology and more could have been dedicated to the Asbestos Register and details recorded on this.
Good for new members into the industry but for us seasoned older tradespeople we've been doing this for a long time maybe the option to skip through certain segments or go straight to the test to reduce time loss for the company unless something new comes up . But the videos are very informative
