For an all round sense of LOLER iHasco sorts what's needed. It offers extra information if required and proves to be sufficient in its content.
As a qualified Lifting Inspector i am quite concerned by some of the course and questions. The first question was answered wrongly by myself. To be informed that unsuitable Lifting equipment for personnel can be used in extreme circumstances if the SWL is lowered by 50% is something i have never come across. I had to force myself to accept this as correct as i had seen this statement during the course. Also a later question stated. All Lifting Equipment and Accessories MUST have the SWL marked on them. Apparently True is incorrect. Although Any Lifting eqpt or accessory found without a SWL marked would be picked up on any Thorough examination with a recommendation that this be corrected. Course was informative, easy to follow and to understand. Graphics and trainer very good. I don't work on site and only undertook the course so I could see what our employees would need to do and I managed to pass the test, which shows how good the course must be!
