I learned more than I thought I would. Regular training will save lives in such circumstances. It also made me more aware of the various types of fire extinguishers and their application.

This will help for when I start as I will be aware of how to handle the situation of a fire

This training was very comprehensive and I enjoyed completing it. However, it could have been made clearer by reminding people what the different types of fires (i.e. 'a' is wood, paper etc.) are throughout. This would have saved me going back to refresh my memory as only letters were used later on. Otherwise, excellent!

I was amazed that there are so many types of fire extinguisher and so much to take into consideration. It’s really opened my eyes !

As above, but I found the definitions of expressions and the myriad of 'types' confusing and hard to remember (not your fault!), eg is it a hazard or risk? What colour extinguisher and what colour sign means what, etc! It is a real memory test - and the facts quickly slip away if we are not firefighting every day!
