Very thorough about fire extinguishers!

This training is ok - it certainly covers everything you need to know about fire awareness. Possibly a bit TOO much for someone who works in a purely office environment, but I understand that this training is intended for a wider audience. It's very detailed about all the different types of fire extinguishers, but I'm not sure I'll retain all that information in the event of a real fire! It really grated on me that there was a woman presenting most of the training, the sections which were demonstrating the actual use of extinguishers was done by man. It's not clear why this was deemed appropriate or necessary - maybe some Equal Opportunities training is required?!

Lots of info but how do you remember it

Reasonably clear and precise with practical info. Just need a mnemonic for us to remember which of the several fire extinguishers might be useful in a certain situation. All I can remember is don't use water on a chip pan fire and I already knew that from many years ago when we were told to smother the flames with a damp towel/tea towel. (Hardly likely at school in exam invigilation) In an emergency at school I do not think we would be wise or quick enough to have a go with any of the fire extinguishers as we might be confused as to which one to use. I remember "one fire , one extinguisher" , that is all, on the video. But if that is not possible, get out of the building. I think a session in how to keep pupils calm and taking the situation seriously would be very useful, as you don't even mention what to do with them whilst the fire might be happening.(and I don't mean just marching them out of the building!) There will be a lot of confusion and panic in a big fire (eg, the recent Bolton University fire which no-one took seriously until sensible students knocked on other students' doors - the alarm was considered not real as it happened regularly, but then it was serious enough and not managed well at all after that)

Far too long

I could have read the information that was presented in a minute or two (at the most), and then taken a test. Having to watch multiple video segments means the training takes far, far longer than is necessary

too long

Too long, too many questions, it is frustrating that you cannot skip to the next slide once you have finished reading the transcript, you have to wait for the video to finish
