SECTION 1

In this first section, we’ll explore how individuals can contribute to a meeting to help make it effective, what meeting etiquette is and the different roles and responsibilities people may have in meetings.

In this final section, user's will be given 4 steps to making a meeting effective. Users will learn the importance of being organised, actively listening, being productive and finally, being respectful.

About this course

A report from BetterMeetings.org found that professionals (from the UK, Germany, and the USA) spend 2 hours a week in pointless meetings, which added up to over $541bn worth of resources in 2019.

A clear presentation.

Fine but nothing very new to me.

I enjoyed this one but although it referenced the problem of there not being enough time to get through the whole agenda for a meeting, it didn't really give me tangible solutions, when everyone is very busy pretty much all the time. Catching people for a follow on meeting might be near impossible when it was hard getting everyone together the first time round. This could, of course, be our organisation's problem and one that we have to solve. Perhaps we need to employ more people! Good to have someone timing items though and helping to move things on. That might be useful.

Good that it included virtual meetings.
