SECTION 1

In this first section, we focus on arguments - in the philosophical sense. Rather than being an angry exchange of insults, an argument means stating a belief and then giving reasons as to why it should be believed by others. This section will look at good and bad arguments and the structure of an argument.

SECTION 2

In the second section, we look at practical ways in which staff can use critical thinking to strengthen their arguments and make them more effective. This will include asking questions, getting organised, evaluating and drawing conclusions.

About this course

Critical thinking is the ability to analyse a specific situation and make a professional judgement. Whether that be an issue that has occurred and needs solving, or a discovery that needs explaining.

The CPD Accredited course provides the user with tips on how to avoid common thinking mistakes that lead to roadblocks when it comes to finding a solution or answer to their issue.

The course is suitable for all levels of staff and will help strengthen your team's ability to tackle unique problems in the workplace.

Clearly communicated

Clearly communicated but possibly broken down into too many steps.

Explained well how to improve arguments
RatingRatingRatingRatingRating

Made me think about how important the evidence is - instead of me just thinking - well I am right because that is my belief. I need to consider why i think that way, where has my argument come from and how to substantiate itGlad there wasnt a test at the end ! There is quite a lot of information in it
