About this course
Autism is a term that describes an entire spectrum of developmental conditions that affect a person's communication and perception of the world in a number of unique ways. Despite the fact that this condition has been researched widely across the world, what we know about it is constantly evolving, and the knowledge we have today differs significantly from what we thought we knew 20 years ago.
It’s important to note that autism is not an illness or a learning disability. You simply need to understand it as a different way of experiencing the world.
This course can help your staff gain a better understanding of autism and what adjustments can be made to the workplace to better accommodate those with autism.

Great for Awareness
Great introduction to improve my understanding of the complexities of Autism. I am more aware of the correct language, terminology that we should all use, in order for everyone to live safely in todays world, without feeling victimised.
Accurate and insightful
Accurately describes traits I was previously unaware I even exhibited. The topic is approached in a polite and inoffensive manner. Many of the topics discussed put into words thoughts and ideas I myself have considered over the years. Have a nice day 😊
Need speed controls
The speech speed needs to be able to be controlled - it was too slow which I found frustrating.
A concise but useful training course
Each section was well presented with key points highlighted at the end. Good factual points were included as well as explanations as to how to discuss autism and the challenges that autistic people might face in their lives and in the workplace. Being aware of these will help me to have better interactions in the future. Understanding how autistic people might want to refer to themselves and recognising when things might be getting tough were also vey useful.
Very informative
I hate these training sessions but at least you can drop in and out and try to focus on what you’re supposed to be learning about. Has it helped me? Well it’s stressed me out even though I passed and taken me back to my school days . Personally I feel that hands on experience works for me.
made me aware than i was about Autism.
