Summarises basic needs for staying safe

Manual handling is reduced from what was required as people are discouraged (rightly) from carrying heavy loads that will cause them long term damage. Weights given as suitable maximum loads are often less than some items actually are, but will enable one to stay as safe as possible, what to think about and plan prior to moving any load, and hopefully keep more people with an undamaged back in the long term. Suitable for all employees, but may be harder to put into practice in some smaller businesses.

I found it helpful

It is very helpful to know how the back, etc., works – maybe you could include more in-depth animations (a bit slower) of what happens to the muscles, etc., when a person is lifting something: both good and bad, so we get the point even more? The course was useful to learn and be reminded. Thank you.

Concise and informative!

A great insight into the workings of the human body, and how by adopting a few simple assessment techniques on how to move and lift objects safely, can help to protect ones health both in and out of the world of work.

boring and tedious

takes way too long to explain simple concepts.

THE VIDEOS WERE GOOD AND EASY TO FOLLOW.

The quality of the videos and graphics were very good. It was clear and the multiple choice test was a good way of testing at the end.
