We have one computer between 20 of us situated in our mess room and as most of the instructions were verbal it was of no use as our computer has zero sound from the speakers. It is always assumed that everyone in the Civil Service is sitting at a desk and is computer literate. Since joining the government car service nearly 20 years ago I am still waiting for the computer course I was promised and now reaching retirement age it’s a bit too late. As for the course it is all common sense, just treat people the way you like to be treated yourself.

I think the course fails by not taking into account peoples disabilities, in particular short term memory issues when involved in meetings.
