A person being bullied online - Bullying & Harassment Training
Presenter describes why and how bullying happens in the workplace as part of our bullying and harassment in the workplace for employees training.

Our first section explains the similarities - and the key differences - between bullying and harassment, and it teaches you how to identify these behaviours at work. We also look at the role of your management and what behaviour is acceptable and unacceptable in the workplace.

This section is your step-by-step guide to confidently confronting bullying and harassment at work. We start by discussing the nature of bullying and the impact that it can have on victims and witnesses. Then we take you through the informal approaches, formal action, as well as the internal and external support that’s available to you.

Section three of our bullying and harassment in the workplace course looks at creating a positive work culture.

The final section of this course looks at what you can do to help your team create a positive culture at work. We discuss the importance of mutual respect, understanding, and how you can turn good intention into action.

About this course

Your workplace should be an environment in which you feel safe, happy and comfortable to work to the best of your potential. Bullying & Harassment should not be tolerated under any circumstances.

This online course has been created to help every employee identify, prevent and tackle this negative behaviour, with the aim of removing it from the workplace altogether.

It gives this subject the sensitivity it needs whilst providing practical steps that can be used to combat bullying and harassment. This course also focuses on PREVENTING this negative behaviour - employees will learn how to create a POSITIVE CULTURE in the workplace.

According to a recent report carried out by YouGov, almost a third (29%) of people are bullied at work, causing 36% of victims to quit their role, whilst 46% of victims said it 'adversely' affected their performance at work. Make sure you can identify signs of bullying and prevent it from happening in your workplace with our Bullying & Harassment at work training.

It also works in conjunction with our "Bullying and Harassment in the Workplace – Management" course and our Equality and Diversity Training.

Great online training

Very easy to follow which makes learning easier.

Makes us aware of behaviour / everybody.

Again the course was very well presented and clearly explained all the main points. The course make us think about how they should treat everybody. I awarded this course 5 stars, but i rate it 10 out of 10. Best wishes, Kind regards Steve, Thinktank, Birmingham Museums.

Fine but Glitchy

The training was fine but the quiz at the end is faulty - it registered my clicks on the opposite answers to what I selected and then froze on one of the questions. When I refreshed the page, the wrong answer was selected. Only raising it because I should have scored 20/20, which I was quite proud of 😊

Clear and easy to understand

Why is this training important?

It's important that you comply with the law and know the ways in which it affects you and the way you work.

The Sex Discrimination Act 1975 protects people from discrimination on the grounds of sex or marital status.

The Criminal Justice and Public Order Act made intentional harassment a criminal offence.

The Protection from Harassment Act made it a criminal offence to pursue conduct that leads to harassment, or fear that violence will be used. If convicted, someone can be sentenced to up to six months in prison, or get a fine of up to £5000.

The Equality Act ensures the workplace is a fair environment for all employees, while respecting the protected characteristics of each individual.

The Health & Safety at Work Act ensures that employers are responsible for the health, safety and welfare of all employees while they’re at work.

Business benefits

Every workplace should be a safe environment, free from bullying and harassment, where people are happy and able to work at their best.

However, according to YouGov, almost a third of all workers have claimed that they’ve experienced bullying at work which has adversely affected their performance. Bullying creates a negative working environment, decreasing productivity whilst increasing staff turnover; and harassment, which is an offence, leads to criminal charges, fines, and lost reputation. You need to make sure that ALL staff are able to spot the signs and know what to do to stamp it out. This course on Bullying & Harassment not only helps people understand, identify, and tackle the problem of bullying and harassment, but also gives them to tools to prevent it from occurring in the first place.
