About this course

There are some distinct differences that first aiders need to know about when performing first aid on babies or children that differ from the techniques used on adults –for example, if a child is choking or needs CPR.

This Paediatric First Aid Refresher Training is the perfect course for anyone who works with children or babies as part of their job. Our training provides visual demonstrations showing how to perform the Primary Survey steps D-R-A-B on children/babies as a recap for First Aiders.

This training should be taken in addition to either our First Aid at Work Refresher ORour Emergency First Aid at Work Refresher programmes as a full recap for First Aiders on what is required of them. This course looks at DR AB, the Recovery Position for a child, giving CPR and using an AED on a child or baby and what to do if a baby is choking.

Please note that this online training course does not give you full competency in First Aid. It provides general awareness but should not be used as a replacement for practical training.

Our other online first aid courses include First Aid Requirements & RIDDOR, Accident Reporting and First Aid Appointed Person Training.

Very good quality pictures and videos going straight to the point. I really enjoyed it. It was much shorter than I thought though. You also get a certificate at the end.

the course was good but the procedure itself very unclear. i wanted to retake the test but it appeared to be locked in a cycle that kept kept repeating the slides but would not allow me to retake the test. I had no sections to tick and after third attempt had no choice but to give in. i now have no certificate downloaded or any record of my result. Not impressed, what a waste of my time.

It really helps to refresh your training

The teaching techniques are good and helpful for a quick recap of the training.

The course itself was excellent.

I awarded 4 stars because I genuinely pressed the incorrect button on a question I knew perfectly well. It meant that I don't have a100% grade. In any test or exam the person taking the test is able to review their answers before handing in. I would have welcomed the opportunity to do the whole test again, even with different questions.
