A bit excessive
The graphics were a distraction rather than an aid and a little childish. The content is likely to worry some of our younger helpers unnecessarily. Also it was misleading in that (a) the text seemed to encourage the volunteer to ask further questions rather than to report the disclosure to the trained DSL; (b) although the text said that one should not ask leading questions, the 'correct' answer to one of the multiple-choice questions did not rule that out. It was a lot of information given in a way that is not always helpful to learning in that it was hardly broken up with questions etc they only featured now and then – it seemed more a question of being talked at. F too much to take in and remember in a meaningful way. Would have been better to have a shorter more succinct presentation on what we, as helpers, need to look at for and then do – appreciate this is a generic presentation so this may not have been possibl
Comprehensive, yet easy to understand
A very comprehensive description of safeguarding responsibilities and the warning signs to look out for. I feel that my knowledge has greatly improved, and I should trust my instincts & be confident in reporting where I feel the need.
Straight to the point.

The course was very good
The information was clear and concise. It was broken down into managable chunks so it can be completed at a pace suitable to oneself. The graphics and video clips supported and reinforce the information. I specially like the emphasis on taking a "breather"
Helpful and actual

far Better face to face
Good course but a few issues. A bit uneasy as the reliance on “trust your gut” . Gut is interpreted through people’s beliefs and prejudice, would far rather “trust the evidence”. Also uneasy (in my charity environment) with the illustrations of a vulnerable child in one to one situation with an adult, neither protection for the child or the adult. 3 star given as this material is far better given in person to allow a sometimes difficult subject to be delivered.
Relevant – could be more detailed
Interesting and engaging content. In this day and age perhaps an increased emphasis on radicalisation from both a faith and political perspective
