Common sense generic course

A generic course that was pure tick box exercise of common sense and that did not teach me anything.

Comprehensive and informative

It was really useful. Posture whilst working and positioning of equipment was particularly useful.

Informative and to the point

Informative course and kept to the point. Didn't think it was too long or short, just right as it held my attention. Good to have the test at the end to make sure you had been paying attention. Gave me somethings to think about although a lot of it was common sense.

Too long

Annoying at times as covered the same aspects of other training eg. DSE, Fire safety which I have just attended so it was difficult to stay focused and listen to this repetitive information.

Very clear

? dull no! great modern backgrounds

I loved the modern feel of the language and the settings. eg the box in manual handling that showed advice on each side as it moved around. This made the learning fun within a vibrant setting. Similarly the slips, trips section at the top of the stairs where toys inc a skateboard were avoided when we thought they would cause the problem. Great delivery of vital information.

good course

A good course but lots of overlaps with DSE and general H & S course – would not recommend doing these on the same day as too much repetition!

straight forward and easy to understand

Slow and boring

I learn better by reading, so hate being forced to watch videos rather than engaging in a way that works for me. It makes me lose focus and dip out to do other things – would much prefer to just read the transcript. Also needs updating to reflect the current Covid situation – I'm sure the section on not having caring responsibilities while working from home will have been a kick in the teeth to many. Suggest at least a caveat upfront to reflect that.
