very wordy i could be shorter
I worry that some parts of this don't reflect the changes in UK law, and I didn't get answers to questions I had about when two protected characteristics come up against each other, as we have seen very recently
Good
Interesting topic and one which should be monitored and communicated regularly
Really useful course to do
I found the information on this course really interesting and useful for my role as a Learning Mentor in College.
A lot of this was preaching rather than informative.
Some of this might be regarded as either controversial or at least over-simplistic. In order to pass the test it is necessary to tick answers which go along with this approach. To give one example, you present the notion that a diverse workforce is more productive and profitable as indisputable and supported by statistics. This ignores: the difference between causation and correlation, which advocates of EDI emphasise when it suits them; the fact that your very approach, far from embracing different ways of thinking, tends to exclude any way of thinking that does not agree with your assumptions; the evidence that some people of minority ethnic background find it off-putting to be told that a diverse workforce is more profitable, because they think that people will be wondering what this special something is that they are supposedly bringing to the organisation, when they would prefer to be just allowed to get on with the job.
Informative and insightful
