About this course
In 2018/19, there were at least 602,000 workers who suffered from work-related stress, depression, or anxiety.
This Managing Anxiety Training course provides ideas and techniques to help people to manage their anxiety, this includes belly breathing techniques, strengthening your resilience and ABC forms that help people to highlight how they felt and behaved during an anxiety-provoking event.
CBT, or cognitive behavioural therapy, can play a key part in helping people better manage anxious thoughts. Recognised by the NHS, here is how they describe the process:
"Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) is a talking therapy that can help you manage your problems by changing the way you think and behave. It's most commonly used to treat anxiety and depression, but can be useful for other mental and physical health problems." - NHS
When users complete our IOSH Approved course, we hope that they feel more confident in addressing uncomfortable or upsetting situations, so they can lessen the impact they have on them.

Yes it was quite interesting
This user gave this course a rating of 4/5 stars
Informative but short
Because of the complexity of the subject could do with being a bit longer and with more exercises and examples
The multiple choice test
During the multiple choice test there is no option to change your mind on the answer before continuing. So for example if I chose answer A but then decided I wanted to change my answer to C it's not possible. Your immediate answer is accepted.
Easy to follow, quick and engaging.

Why is this training important?
Business benefits
Whether an employee's anxiety is induced by a heavy workload, lack of support, changes to the workplace, or bullying, it is absolutely crucial that your employees are aware of how to best deal with anxious thoughts whilst at work.
With roughly 602,000 workers suffering from work-related stress, depression or anxiety in the UK in 2018/19 alone, it is clear to see that some employees aren't as good at handling their anxious thoughts as others. Hence the importance of this training course.
The course aims to provide the user with the right techniques and tools to manage anxious thoughts safely and effectively.
As a result of employees being more informed on this topic, you could see a boost in productivity amongst your employees! In fact, for every £1 you invest in the wellbeing of your employees, you can see an average of a £4.20 return!
