This training course is broken down into 4 sections

Section 1
This section covers the first of the four Ladder Safety Steps. We look at what you need to consider when you’re selecting a ladder – including the ladder safety steps, ladder’s size, material and duty rating.
Section 2
For the second step, we look at how you can conduct a Pre-check correctly on stepladders and non-self-supporting ladders (including extension ladders). We also demonstrate how to find and mark a ladder’s Balance Point.
Section 3
Here, we take you through the setup process. We provide a ‘Low Shoulder Carry’ and ‘1:4 Ratio’ demonstrations, we explain the setup “do’s and don'ts” for all ladders, and we also include how to extend and set up an extension ladder.
Section 4
This section gives you concise practical steps for using a stepladder, a single ladder and an extension ladder. We discuss Ladder Etiquette, provide a list of how to lower a ladder safely and the maintenance and storage of ladders.
About this course
Falling from a height is incredibly common and incredibly dangerous. EHS Today report that falls from heights remain the biggest cause of occupational fatalities in the construction industry in the US.
You don’t need to be formally qualified to use a ladder, but you do have to be competent. This International Ladder Safety Course has been created to help strengthen the necessary skills and knowledge you need to use ladders safely.
There are various types of ladder and you need to make sure that you are picking up the right one for the situation. As well as the set up of a ladder, you’ll also need to consider how you dismantle and carry them from location to location.
It’s split into four short sections, with each one looking at the Ladder Safety Steps – Ladder Selection, Ladder Pre-Check, Ladder Setup and Ladder Use.
This International Ladder Safety Training can be used in conjunction with our International Working at Height Training.

A very easy to understand course.
Usually when using a ladder you automatically hop up on it without checking the ladder for faults but now after watching the video I'll definitely change my outlook and check for faults before using ladders going forward.
