Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Training

If you run a small or medium-sized business, there are a few key areas you’re legally expected to stay on top of when it comes to following ESG principles. You don’t need to be an expert, but you do need to take the right steps to protect the environment, look after your people, and operate in a fair and ethical way.

Here are some of the legal responsibilities you should be aware of:

Environmental responsibilities – You want to build a business that’s proud of its impact. This means making sure your business is doing its bit to reduce waste, limit pollution, and use energy more efficiently.

Social responsibilities – You have a duty to treat everyone fairly at work. The Equality Act 2010 makes it a legal requirement to prevent discrimination, support diversity, and create an inclusive workplace for all employees.

Governance responsibilities – Running your business ethically also means putting the right policies in place – like protecting personal data (GDPR), avoiding bribery and corruption, and making sure your team understands what’s expected of them.
