enjoyed the course.

This course was very useful and beneficial to my work role and helped raise awareness once again about all the different sorts of abuse-some more obvious than others and heightened my ability to be able to spot and be concerned about an individual and to be able to observe changes in their behaviour.

Easy to use, still using 'vulnerable' 🙁

The course is easy to navigate, easy to understand, is broad and relevant. Sadly the word vulnerable is still used (The Law commission did a lot of work in 2012 to move away from the term vulnerable as disability groups found it pejorative – hence the removal of this from the Care Act finally in enactment in 2015. Adult and risk is better but the The Care Act uses the term adult with care and support needs as defined below and I couldn't see this definition (I may have missed it I was skipping around): an adult who: ‚Ä¢ has needs for care and support (whether or not the local authority is meeting any of those needs) and; ‚Ä¢ is experiencing, or at risk of, abuse or neglect; and ‚Ä¢ as a result of those care and support needs is unable to protect themselves from either the risk of, or the experience of abuse or neglect. 14.3.
