I developed more skills in this course.

Very good

Not really suitable for our needs

Too detailed and not appropriate for our needs. We don't need to know the legislation and are not working in the care industry. What we need to know are the signs (which was covered well) and what to do if we suspect a ride or walk participant may be at risk of or experiencing abuse or exploitation. The rest was not needed and made the course very long which I don't think it needed to be

Too intensive for some.

The course is good for first timers… However, after teaching for nearly 30years I think it excessive to have listen to every module in its entirety before the test. There should just be a simpler refresher course with listening to key information compulsory (maybe just dot points) with an OPTION to watch more if needed.

Easy to follow

An easy to understand and follow course. I liked the extra information available to click on if needed or interested in

Informative

Raises the awareness of different circumstances that may indicate abuse

Although I understand the need for some level of knowledge about this subject it is perhaps more "in depth" than a part time Caretaker, who does not work directly with children, would need.

A bit heavy

Certain subjects that are not needed for this role in my humble opinion

A very useful course

A good course for caretakers so that they can appreciate that children need to be safeguarded even though they do not have direct responsibility for them.

enjoyed this course

very informative

Most comprehensive safeguarding children training I've seen

One of the best considered, thoughtfully paced I Hasco courses. Considers numerous ways in which children and young people may be abused, exploited and are vulnerable. Supporting information is copious and it allows you to pace it suitably for yourself. I've done similar training before and I learnt more things, not just because legislation has been updated but because they included it where others hadn't. Excellent, albeit very difficult to complete.
