Most of it is good. Needs updating.

The information on racial diversity is out of date - a link to a bbc website from some years ago is not a good reference. Recent research from two American universities has not managed to replicate the early results (which showed a 4% increase, not 36% as stated by the bbc). Recent results have found diversity at board level makes no difference to work outcomes. The information about trans stuff also needs considering - it is worded badly. We are not assigned a gender at birth (but a sex), and nobody exactly fits a sex stereotype. Most of the rest is okay.

Some streamlining would be helpful.usefu

Useful for office or team work environments, also good when it comes to treating individuals with respect-and how you or I would like to be treated.

Necessary but patronising

I appreciate workplaces must enforce "training" like this to show they are making an effort but actions speak louder than words. Perhaps there does still exist strong enough bias unconsciously or consciously amongst staff for an incredibly lengthy spelling out of how individuals should and shouldn't be treated, with huge attention paid to specific words we use. It seems self explanatory all deserve our respect and to be treated with dignity- going through courses spelling this out not once but frequently are painstaking for staff who hold no such bias.

It was alright.

Long winded and too many videos. Reminds me of the VCR days of training vids you see in movies.

A refresher course

Very basic course that raises some issues to think about when dealing with patients and colleagues alike and is a good refresher. Having participated in previous EDI seminar done by the Diversity Trust, this course is a relatively poor replacement in comparison but as mentioned before, a good refresher
