Asbestos Awareness Training Reviews

A subject I wish I had learnt about much earlier in my career. Training on this subject should be mandatory for anyone doing anything in buildings pre 1999. I hate to think about the situations where I may have been exposed in the past. I am grateful for the training and the awareness and will go forward with a greater awareness of this hazard.

Thoroughly enjoyable, concise, refresher course with everything you would expect from an asbestos awareness course. The question in the middle ensured that participants are paying attention and the test at the end was a good measure of how much had been learned. Especially enjoyed the attachment course material which enabled us to learn through reading some of the literature which was better than just following an exhaustive video exercise

I like the attachment course content too as it enabled more participation through reading than just watching video slides. Very well laid out and presented.

Having previously been trained in asbestos awareness, I am in two minds about the advice to clean and bag asbestos from site. Even very small amounts can cause a lot of concern. My previous training stated that even if it is only suspected to be asbestos, stop working, evacuate the site and inform the site manager. Only a competent person who knows how to safely dispose of asbestos should deal with it. Under no circumstances would anyone untrained should attempt to clean up any suspect materials. I would appreciate any comments.
