It has been revealed by London Fire Brigade that over half of London’s care homes had failed their safety checks.
As a result of 177 of the capital’s care homes being assessed, it was found that a third have poorly maintained fire doors, cases of fire risk assessments being carried out by those without the necessary experience, and also widespread confusion regarding evacuation strategies.
