Find out more about Simon Bennett

When did you join iHASCO?

I joined iHASCO in November 2020 (going into another lockdown).

What do you do there?

I'm a senior software engineer, I work with the business (and sometimes clients) to maintain and build LMS features.

What did you want to do when you were at school?

Many, many things. I wanted to make models for sci-fi films. I love that these fantastic spacecraft were made from quite mundane bits and pieces.

What do you get up to when you’re not at iHASCO?

Long-distance cycling, and gardening. Allotment-ing.

Where in the world would you most like to go?

At the moment I'd love to visit Damascus.

What’s your favourite food?

Curry.

Tell us something we don’t know about you…

I lived and worked in Moscow for two years after university.

Favourite book or movie?

There are many. Parasite is currently leaving a lasting impression. I've watched it twice, which I haven't been inspired to do for a while. Solaris (Stanislav Lem) is a really good read if you want your mind blown.
