Good

This course is really help everyone how manage anxiety .

2/5
somewhat patronising and limited

the option to choose only one scenario when they speak of techniques with out going back is limiting and having to complete a test on mental health issues, as someone who suffers with many of these issues is it a little insulting almost

This course was very basic

I found this course basic and felt it did not take into acount the seriousness of mental heath or offer enough advice for a person who is struggling now.

Wrong focus

As someone who experiences chronic anxiety, this course felt very 'gaslighty'. It seems to be predicated on the assumption that anxiety, for the most part, is more in people's heads than it is in reality. None of the coping mechanisms considered the possibility of changing the behaviours of people around you, or your environment. It focused solely on more internal methods designed to dismiss the feeling. It also operated on the assumption of certain privileges that we don't all have. For example, I cannot let 'anxious thoughts drift across my brain like clouds in the sky'. The nature of my anxiety is that it is obsessive and cyclical in nature. Even if I resolve a thought, something else will pop up in its place. Not all of us have the freedom to go to a nicer environment, especially during lockdown, during which many vulnerable people, myself included, spent a significant amount of time effectively under house arrest. This training felt like it was written by someone who has never experienced significant anxiety. iHasco would benefit from speaking to people who actually have the condition.

Anxiety is a medical condition

I think it needs to be stated that although this course is managing the feeling of being anxious it its not designed to cover 'anxiety' the severe medical condition, and some of the tips outlined although may help to an extent will not fully cover the broad issues associated with clinical anxiety which this course fails to mention. It increases the stigma of clinical anxiety as it diminishes 'anxiety' to something that can get handled with breathing exercises etc, and doesn't note that many people may be on medication.

Slow

Frustrating having the transcript but not being able to skip the video. I can read faster than watching the video and retain the information better in this way. Found myself bored and switching off. Also this training was not helpful to me, I knew a lot of it previously and it wasn't something I was interested in or found relevant to me
