Very good course, just for the test I would like to suggest that, there should be a button to confirm your answer instead of automatically correcting them, I miss clicked a different answer 3 times because my mouse is broken... and because, I passed cant retake the test again would have liked to score 100% in this easy test.
A couple of the questions were a little ambiguous!
Found the four types of conflict interesting along with using the triple filter test - thoughts/words/actions and using both emotional intelligence and logical thinking together to resolve the conflict.
Whilst there were some good aspects to this course it was a little generic and in my view not cross correlated to wider issues such as Bullying and the Grievance process. ACAS was mentioned but no detail give in the course materials. I really wonder if any participant would feel more confident to use the ideas given. Some real videos which show the impact of different approaches would really enhance the course.
I found the courser to have a lot of information but because of the gentleman in between repeating information it also seemed too long winded.
Would loved to have known exactly how the bloke missing his sandwich (having had it stolen) managed to resolve the conflict - without actually escalating it further!
... however, it would be useful to provide all the resources at the end so that you dont have to scroll through each section and download them individually
I noticed that making eye contact was noted as a good thing in conflict resolution but this can be incredibly difficult for someone who is neurodiverse as eye contact can be a difficult thing to do.
I really enjoyed taking part. It allowed me to recognise how conflict can escalate at work and currently within my home. The only fault I had was the test component. when I selected the answer it did not allow me to change it. It automatically reviewed my answer. I this the short video clips were perfect for my concentration span. also allowed my break down the course into the correct segments. Thank You.
Good overall content. Clearly explained. Idealised scenarios and failed to recognise that many people find non verbal communication such as eye contact, smiling difficult and that diversity should embraces many different styles of appearance / cultural expression. Worked in many different roles where there is no flexibility in role & lack of managerial support or willingness to communicate on issues arising.
