To many slides (30min in total) to much information to take in in such a short space of time
The course emphasizes logical using emotion, emphasizing and being expressive, how this is very subjective to the individual. For example and from experience often the opposite of emotional is needed at times then followed up later, later after cooling off which the course seemed to suggest was not the case, i.e. solve the problem now. I mean the course is OK but interpersonal relations can't really be managed ideally like this and it seems to take conflict resolution from the perspective of a singular personality type. Appreciate such a course is difficult but it should explore resolution in regards to specific personalities. Team building examples would be a good way to resolve disagreements, things like common hobbies etc. You could write endless articles on this but the course still seems a little light, and honestly feels more like something aimed at the academic rather than practical and as such is likely to come off as condescending if approached in such a way to many people of a more pragmatic/practical nature.
I found this course very boring and repetitive. I felt that the same information provided was just repeated over and over again.
Would be better to have the test after each section rather than at the end.
No summary provided
The section about opened ended questions doesnt offer a good response as the response to question a person if theyre angry is "How did that make you feel" comes across very disingenuous and patronising, so it would probably recieve a hostile response. It also doesnt acknowledge the others body language and seems absent minded
With having Dyslexia the slides are very fast and not getting the information which you need and the only thing you can do is to keep going over and over the slides again and again which is a waste of our time if we can not do at work and have to do them at home in our time ???
for me this type of course would be better with text and a video presenter to confirm understanding
When I went to this I thought they will actually guarantee me a interview at the civi Service but it was more focused on costumer services booklets .
would have been better if more examples of conflict / case studies were used to demonstrate how all the techniques come in to action.
