I found this training quite an eye opener. I knew that asbestos was bad for the lungs already. However, it's awful to think that in only relatively recent times it was discovered to be so damaging and thereafter measures implemented eg this training. We were shown a disturbing interview with someone at the end of their life who, because of his job working with asbestos, was directly affected by it culminating in his death! It is awful to think how many others would have and still could be harmed or even die, without proper precautions, as a direct result of close contact with asbestos. There is still asbestos around in old buildings, pipes etc so it is really important that people are informed, so this training was very useful.

Great Course!
We learnt in a group – this provoked great discussion and interaction. Good graphics and interesting content – I like the historical info (although the Egyptians did not burn mummies :-)) Good examples and the case study was very moving.
