Covered in this course
This training course is broken down into 3 sections
- 1 Personal Data
- 2 The Principles of Data Protection
- 3 Integrity and Confidentiality
Right now, how many organisations do you think have access to your personal data? 10? 20 organisations? It’s probably a lot more than you think! The General Data Protection Regulation is there to stop personal data being misused or given to people who shouldn’t have it. In this section, we cover personal data, what it is and how it should or shouldn't be used.
Everyone who uses personal data has to follow strict rules and you’ll learn about these as the principles of data protection. They ensure fair treatment of personal data for everyone whose data is held and used by any organisation. Your organisation will have its own policies and procedures in place to protect personal data, which will include details specific to your workplace.
The sixth principle is all about keeping personal data safe and secure. It’s about protecting data from accidental or deliberate loss, destruction, damage or unauthorised access. In this section, we’re looking at some of the things you can do to help safeguard the personal data you use.

Basic but good as a refresher for someone who has already completed the training
Brief but to the point reminding us of the major points in the GDPR training. Always more to learn and always good to be 'sharpened up' on such an important matter.
