New course release - Dementia Awareness for Carers

Now live is our new Dementia Awareness for Carers course – it provides users with the knowledge they need to offer compassionate and person-centred care to people with dementia, their family carers, and their loved ones. Importantly, the course aligns with legal and best practice guidelines.

It’s the perfect introduction for anyone who’s training to Tier 2 of the Dementia Standards Training Framework – particularly professional carers, support workers, and anyone who works closely with people living with dementia – and it’s useful for family carers too.

After taking this course, users should:

  • Know how to identify and act upon early signs of dementia – including understanding the social, emotional and physical impact
  • Have a good understanding of the different aspects of dementia care and how to carry them out
  • Know about the variety of support that’s available to those with dementia and their families, including how to offer it

More details about the specifics of the course can be found below. Click here if you would like to try the course on a no-obligation FREE trial.
