When did you join iHASCO?
November 2021 innit.
What do you do there?
I (along with the rest of the dev team) maintain and improve the LMS and training suite e.g. adding new features, tidying the code, keeping on top of security, etc.
What did you want to do when you were at school?
That would depend on which day of the week you asked me. Artist. Software engineer. Assassin. Fortunately, all three of those boxes have since been ticked.
What do you get up to when you’re not at iHASCO?
My time is usually split between various tech, art and maths projects/theories; voluntary work and charity; video games and YouTube; and being harassed by my dogs at every given opportunity.
Where in the world would you most like to go?
I've wanted to visit Japan since I was ~10 years old. I had actually started planning to go in 2020, but something came up.
What’s your favourite food?
I get delirium tremens if I go too long without pizza. (By "too long" I mean more than 24 hours.)
Tell us something we don’t know about you…
I used to have a pet shrimp - named Sebastien. Over time I wrote a theme song for him and planned to make a short cartoon series about him as a detective with the power of teleportation, solving crimes in an underwater reimagining of New York City.
Favourite book or movie?
I picked names out of a hat for this. I'll go with an old movie called Ikiru. It takes the gold within the opening scene. A bored office worker is filing paperwork. A narrator speaks: "This is Kanji Watanabe. He has just been diagnosed with stomach cancer.
