Stating you it’s best to “Suck out “ contaminated blood from a wound is insane it’s been proven this doesn’t work with venom or poisons. baffling ….
We do not handle any of this equipment, nor do we work in a medical environment. This is not a relevant training course. If we get pricked by a needle on the job, then that should be covered in 1st aid and reporting of injuries.
Wow. Apart from being completely irrelevant to the entire UW business, I can honestly say my stomach is still turning from seeing videos of needles going in to random people's arms. No warning, I have a phobia of needles and haven't even seen a needle go in to my arm for as long as I can remember and I have 2-3 a year. Maybe a warning message for us soppy ones! But I can promise you, I will not complete that a course again
